You may also have low LDH levels if you’ve consumed a large amount of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
Increased serum LDH values are one of the abnormal diagnostic parameters in COVID-19 patients with a severe or fatal course of disease. Potential clinical and biological significance of elevated LDH are pulmonary injury, as well as widespread organ damage. Therefore, Serum LDH is as a marker for evaluating clinical severity and monitoring treatment response in COVID-19 pneumonia.
