Guttate psoriasis infection is caused by many factors which include upper respiratory tract infection, streptococcal infection, tonsillitis, stress, injury to the skin and due to certain drugs. It is thought that streptococcal throat infection is common in Guttate psoriasis and is responsible for the trigger. It can first appear as another form of psoriasis such as plaque psoriasis and turn into Guttate psoriasis.
