If you have sudden painful contraction of muscles of hand and/ or fingers, then you are suffering from the condition known as writer’s cramp. The contraction is uncontrolled and tiresome and causes abnormal position of hand and fingers.

While performing any task stretch your hands occasionally.
Gently squeeze the stress ball. It will encourage the muscle to tense and release.
Curl your hand into a fist, hold for a second or two and then release.
Extend your fingers as far as you can, while stretching fingers you must feel light pressure in your palm.
Wrist stretch: extend left arm in front of you, press the fingers together and point towards the ceiling. Place the fingers of right hand against the fingers of left and press slightly inwards. You will feel a slight pull along the underside of wrist. Hold the stretch for 5 seconds and then relax. Repeat the stretch on right hand.
