Tietze syndome is NOT AN INHERITED DISORDER!
Get your facts straight! It is unknown EXACTLY how anyone can get Tietze Syndrome. I went thru hundreds of outpatient tests, many different specialists trying to find out EXACTLY what was wrong with me. I had Gastroenterologist, Rheumatologist, Internist, General Practitioner, Orthopaedic Surgeon. I was finally diagnosed with Tietze syndome. The difference between Costochondritis & Tietze syndome is Tietze Syndrome the SED Rate is elevated whereas Costochondritis it is NOT ELEVATED. I HATE THIS!
Tietze Syndrome experts think it might be caused by: a virus or an accident or the immune system attacking itself. Many football players get this. However NIH states it’s not known EXACTLY how someone gets this. In my case, I did not have any accident or injury. I know what happened & how I got this. I worked in 3 sick toxic mold & mildew Infested federal SSA OFFICE BLDGS for many years. I was constantly ill with sinus infections, sore throats, bronchitis, laryngitis, pneumonia & out of work much of the time. Years later in the federal bldg 299 E Broward Blvd., Ft Lauderdale, FL where I 1st started getting very ill, workers renovating the bldg., tore out walls/ceilings & there was 14 1/2 INCHES OF TOXIC MOLD & MILDEW. I was NEVER SICK until I worked in those 3 sick bldgs. There was mold & mildew visible in the other 2 bldgs I worked in after leaving the federal bldg. I loved my career job with SSA & had to leave bc I was so ill & in horrific pain. I am sure I got Tietze syndome bc my immune system totally broke down & attacked itself.
