Inflammation of the vein due to blood clot is known as Thrombophlebitis; it is usually seen in extremities especially on one leg. • Superficial thrombophlebitis: It affects veins that are near the skin surface. There is generalized swelling, warmth and redness in the affected part, distension of superficial veins, cyanosis of toes and limbs it can some be associate d with fever and chills.
