Mrs. Cha, age 30 yrs (patient identification number.6407) came to our Chandigarh clinic with the complaint of Psoriasis since 15 yrs.

She has psoriatic eruptions on scalp, neck, both the ears and back. These eruptions started from the nape of the neck with severe itching which get aggravated with sweating and when exposed to sun light.

Scratching relieves her itching. Her skin became dry, crusty, thick and silvery scales shred off while itching.

She also complained along with the psoriasis that there was pitting edema on both the feet and ankles without stiffness. In winters her swelling became better.

Our doctors studied her case and prescribed the medication on the basis of symptoms because intensity of her itching was very severe, she was having very severe itching.

After two weeks she came for follow up and she told that her itching improved but eruptions were as such.

So, we explained to her that her complaints were chronic and it will take time, so she was advised to take the treatment patiently.

She was given medication and after 1 month she was better i.e. her itching had improved, her swelling also became better.

She continued the treatment and after 2 months she reported that her itching aggravated, her swelling was still persistent but her psoriatic patches were reducing in size.

She was given medicine for three months as she was going out of station and after 3 months patient was happy as her itching was better than before, her psoriatic patches were reducing in size as well as her swelling improves. Therefore overall patient was improving in all aspects, so she is still taking the treatment as she is better.
