    One Reply to “Varicose Veins”

    1. A varicose vein is abnormally a large vein often seen in the legs. Normally, blood travels from the leg to the heart through veins. A vein has a one-way valve that allows blood to return against gravity from the legs. If the valve leaks, blood pulls in the vein and it can become varicose. The varicose treatment uses an ultrasound machine, radiofrequency electrode, laser fiber, and a console. A laser fiber carries energy from the power generator into the body. A follow-up ultrasound is extremely important to access the treated vein.
