Tietze’s Syndrome/ Chondropathia Tuberosa/ Costochondral Junction Syndrome

Definition
Tietze syndrome is a rare, inflammatory disorder presented as chest pain and swelling of the costal cartilage of one or more of the upper ribs , most often involving the area of the second and third ribs. It is often seen with unknown etiology. Onset of pain may be gradual or sudden and may spread to affect the arms or shoulders. It is considered to be benign syndrome and in some cases it goes without treatment. Management of the disease helps in better living and helps to carry on all day to day activities.
